Drawing class-a fun project

For our drawing class,we had to design 4-6 party hats. Party hats now are just sphere shaped paper cone hats. We were asked to do something else other than sphere shaped hats. I had an idea of birthday, coz my birthday is in november. I design a cake hats with pink ribbons on top and had my name says “happy birthday phyllis”. Another one was a bottle hat beacuse when it comes to birthday, the first thing that comes up to my mind is drinking parties. The 3rd one is a shopping bag hat that was made up of a coach shopping paper bag and i glued my shoping receipt on it. The last one was just a originally pink fancy hat that shows how much i LOVE pink.

Which from this work Hoffos has gain experiences and telling stories to the audiences, that reflects a banalities of daily life. The story starts in the middle of no where because hoffos choose not to tell us where the story starts. Referring to Hoffos’ statement, he says”Through my installation work i have sought to reveal and examine the sources of illusio found within genre movies, stage magic, and museum displays. The evolution of my work has been a steady process of accumuating and inventing techniques and devices and then applying and refining them. Over the course of more than 20 installations my work has developed step-by-step from simple, stand-alone film/sculpture pieces into complex, immersive, multichannel environments. A few of the techniques and devices that characterize my work include: film and video projection onto cut-outs, large miniature scenes, mirrored boxes, phantom figure illusions, ghost video glass effects, cinermas, homemade video projectors, and curtained entrances.” Haffos’ works have been display in galleries. Where audiens come in and see the projector projects on the work he did.

Panorama (Richmond night view)

For our diva class,we have to capture few photos then link them together in photoshop to form a panorama. I had a good experienece in the process of taking the photos because it’s actually my first time taking photos using an tripod. It did come out better using it. I learned how to set up the setting for proof and my final work. However,my proof didn’t come out the way I wanted because it was too dark, which in some areas had not enough details. Then I changed the settings in my final print. At last, the final print came out perfectly close to the way I imagined it would be. I’m satisfied with the results.
